Hello all,
I am considering reorganizing the message forums. It seems to me that given the inactivity of EL and the subsequent downsizing of MWAR, having a zillion different forums is pretty pointless. To that end, I propose having two sections.
(1) Public
Announcements
General Discussion
Join MWAR
(2) Private
Game Help (any information or help needed can be here)
Guild Events
Guild Tavern (Discussion of any kind that is better in private, as well as selling of anything, etc)
Public will be open to guests, while private is approved members only.
We don't really have an active council right now, and I don't see the benefit in having one with numbers this low. If we get back up to 20+ active members, it might be worth considering. I don't want to get back into the paralysis by analysis that having a council could be. Instead of debating issues like having alts in the guild and such, I prefer to just make the decision when possible, and consult you guys for input when needed. If someone acts out of turn, I prefer to just take action. I think many if not most of you know me well enough to trust my judgement. The older players I am not worried about, and I don't foresee any issues until we start getting some no0bs.
While there may be some sentimentality to the old posts, I don't see any reason to save most of them. I will just delete the other forums and restructure the directory. A forum for member lists isn't needed. If wanted we can make a single post in the General and pin it to the top. One for active members might be a good idea.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
